The concepts implemented by this prototype are presented in the paper
Maintaining Compliance in Customizable Process Models. In short,
we have added a new activity type to the BPMN 2.0 activity set called
a Region. You find the region activity on
the left side. On the right side you find the Fragment Repository (the
variability descriptor). Right now it shows one task. New
sets of activities are added in the next days.
To show how it looks like if
an activity cannot be placed in a region. Drop the task from the right
on the canvas. Also drop a Region on the canvas. And then try to drop
that task over the Region. If you change the task type from Send to
any other type. It can be placed in the Region.
