Research Interest

Migration of existing applications into the Cloud
I work on enabling the migration of existing applications into the Cloud to gain the advantages offered through the Cloud. This involves capturing and analysis of the existing application, the technical realization of the migration, and the automation of the application management.

Security and Compliance in the Cloud
Ensuring security and compliance in the cloud is an unsolved challenge which slows down further adoption of cloud technologies especially in the public sector. My research interest is how to describe the security and compliance requirements of the different application components in a portable way and enforcing them during the whole lifecycle.

Projects

CloudCycle (Local Coordinator)
Marketing, provisioning, and management of portable cloud-services with
guaranteed security and compliance throughout their complete lifecycle
4CaaST (until 11/2011)
Building the PaaS Cloud of the Future
