Research Interest

Nexus-Project

My research interest is how to build context aware applications based on context aware workflows. I´m working on the Nexus Project (SFB627) - subprojekt E1 context aware workflows.

Sub-project E1 supports context aware applications in process oriented domains like for example in the smart factory. For this purpose interaction between applications and their superior processes are examined as well as new concepts and methods for context aware workflows are developed. Which allow the development of long running and complex context aware applications with the help of two-stage programming. The applications are aggregated from basic context aware services to context aware workflows. In a close collaboration with the applications sub-projects the work will be evaluated in concrete applications specific scenarios.
