Use of IoT in the office reduces electricity costs by more than 20 percent

In combination, local batteries and smart algorithms can reduce electricity costs in offices by more than a fifth. This has been shown by researchers at the University of Stuttgart in a study that has now been published. In it, Brian Setz, Dr. Kawsar Haghshenas and Professor Marco Aiello from the Institute for Architecture of Application Systems (IAAS) in the Department of Computer Science, how microservices predict the share of renewable energies in smart grids and control end devices accordingly. In addition to financial expenses, this could also significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
